Isle Of Wight Gin Company Wins Medal At 2024 London Spirits Competition

An Isle of Wight spirit company has received a prestigious national accolade.

Island Spirit Gin - the Isle of Wight Gin Company’s signature spirit - won a bronze medal at the seventh annual London Spirits Competition.

The title is considered the ultimate seal of approval in the global spirits industry.

The awards attracted entrants from more than 50 countries, all looking to benchmark themselves against global competition.

Judged in three areas, spirits must score well for taste, price and packaging.

Isle of Wight Gin is based in Godshill - where the company grows, distils and bottles its gin, rum and vodka,

IW Gin's Leigh Jackman said:

"We are over the moon to shine a light on an Island grown and produced product, we are very passionate about taste so honoured to receive this award’.

Island Spirit Gin is inspired by the summer breeze on the Isle of Wight, using mainly Island botanicals and is only sold through farm shops, tourist attractions and family owned businesses.

Isle of Wight Gin, a local family run business, handcrafts its range of gins on the Island using a traditional copper still and carefully crafted recipe of local botanicals to make a deliciously smooth ‘London Dry Gin‘.

The spirit is bottled in an Italian designed 'art deco' style bottle.
