Parkdean Resorts, the UK’s largest holiday park operator, has announced a cash injection of more than £2.8m into its Isle of Wight parks as part of its biggest ever investment programme.
£140m is being spent nationwide, and the investment in the Island will go towards new accommodation, and installing park-wide Wi-Fi capability, which will further improve the guest experience in 2022.
Parkdean Resorts operates four parks on the Isle of Wight, in some of the island’s most stunning locations.
Between them, Thorness Bay, Nodes Point, Landguard and Lower Hyde welcomed more than 136,000 visitors last year.
The park employs more than 450 people in peak season across sales, food and beverage, and housekeeping.
As part of the multi-million-pound investment, there will be a brand new development at Nodes Point, with seven new caravans.
In addition, 32 upgraded caravans are being introduced to replace existing fleet across the four parks, and 11 lodges have been refurbished at Landguard.
Steve Richards, chief executive of Parkdean Resorts, said:
“This investment is great news for the Isle of Wight.
Last year was huge for staycations, and our teams will continue to go above and beyond to deliver phenomenal service to our guests, making sure that 2022 is even better.”
