An Isle of Wight podcaster known for his high-profile celebrity interviews is in the running for a national award.
Freelance writer and journalist Josh Barry, who has Cerebral Palsy (CP), has been running his Beyond The Title podcast for seven years, interviewing people such as Jeremy Kyle, Sir Ian Botham, Ann Widdecombe and Jimmy Tarbuck among others.
He's now in line for the People’s Choice Award at The British Podcast Awards which relies on an interactive public vote to determine the shortlist.
Islander Josh — who writes with his nose on an iPad — has a highly experienced team of PAs who lead the conversation on his behalf.
Essentially it’s a two way discussion involving three people and previous guests have thrived as part of this unique dynamic.
Josh, who recently delivered his own Ted Talk, said:
"My podcast is at heart of what I do and I really hope this (award) will provide the perfect springboard for success.
"My Ted Talk, entitled Redefining Disability, saw me discuss my own identity based upon the limitations which life puts on me."
