Isle Of Wight Man Steps In To Help Professor Chris Whitty With His Coronavirus Slides

An Isle of Wight man has stepped in to gift Professor Chris Whitty with a special gift to help him with his coronavirus presentation slides.

Professor Whitty presents the data slides in the Government's media briefings, often alongside Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.

This week, Professor Whitty was left high and dry when the slides on the presentation - controlled by someone else - were out of sync with his explanations.

His 'next slide please', command was repeatedly replaced with 'back one slide please' in Monday's briefing.

Now Islander, Josh Peverley, has decided to buy a clicker, to make those presentations a little easier for the Chief Medical Officer.

Posting on Twitter, Josh (pictured above) - who runs the Hush Silent Disco Company -  wrote:

"Next Slide Please. I didn’t get Chris Whitty in the secret Santa but on behalf of the nation I’ve ordered a clicker for Downing Street #NextSlidePlease"

His tweet has now amassed more than 9,000 Likes and 1,000 Retweets.

Speaking to Radio 1 DJ, Greg James, Josh said the device cost £12 and was 'out for delivery'.
