Men on the Isle of Wight are invited to the Island's first-ever Men Only 'Walk and Talk' meeting next month (September).
Men Only based in Ryde, have a mission to support men, whether they need some advice or just the space to talk.
It wants to create a peer group to help men prevent mental health problems proactively rather than reactively.
The team are also making walking buddies available on the walk to create a non-judgmental environment and opportunity to share and offload, which is the purpose of the Men Only Walk and Talk Sessions.
Lead volunteer Karl Menonly said:
'We know how much easier it is for some men to open up when they are out and about. Peer-led guidance will allow them to hear how other men in similar situations have worked their way through the darkness.
'We are confident that making the opportunity to share, either by talking, listening, or simply by experiencing their value, will allow them to be themselves, share experiences and emotions without judgment and learn that it is ok not to be ok and it's ok to feel emotional.'
You can come along to the event on the 5 September to find out more.
Men only aim to provide all men with the opportunity to make new friends and wants to end the social stigma of mental health and the loneliness many men experience.
