The Isle of Wight has featured in a list of locations with the 'best road conditions' in England.
The Island's roads were named 11th best in the country based on new research from the experts at Bill Plant Driving School.
The research took several factors into account — including road conditions, highway and transport expenditure, and roads requiring maintenance.
The top-20 (technically 23 due to four areas being tied) is listed below:
73% of roads across each of England’s local authorities received a ‘green’ RCI score on average - ranging from Redcar and Cleveland (95%) to Derbyshire (27%).
