A new index launched by Compare the Market has revealed the Isle of Wight is one of the most sought after family staycation spots in the UK.
The Island is listed in eighth position, with its 39 beaches, range of attractions and relaxing cadence among the things which make it an ideal spot for Brits to enjoy some downtime.
Searches for 'family breaks UK' have increased by a whopping 175% in the past 12 months, and with Easter holidays around the corner, the first edition of the Family Staycations Index has been revealed.
The index highlights the best locations for family breaks by looking at a variety of factors including types of accommodation, food, entertainment, healthcare facilities, green space, and beaches, along with the cost of an average meal.
