An Isle of Wight police officer has been sacked after he sent a video exposing himself while still on duty.
A misconduct hearing found that Hampshire Constabulary's Jonathan Finch had exchanged 771 WhatsApp messages over a period of two days in 2018.
Hampshire Constabulary described most of the messages as "sexual in nature".
One of the messages, sent on either August 9 or 10, 2018, included a video of him exposing himself, while wearing his uniform, the hearing heard.
The force says this amounted to gross misconduct and PC Finch was dismissed without notice.
He was also found to have dishonestly claimed pay for work, including an hour of overtime which he had not worked.
DCC Sara Glen from Hampshire Constabulary, said:
“Maintaining the trust and confidence of our communities can only be achieved if our police officers uphold the highest standards of professional behaviour at all times, but especially when on duty.
"Honesty and integrity is an integral part of being a police officer and there is no place within our force for those who choose to ignore the fundamental principles of policing.”
