Around 10 Isle of Wight employees have lost their jobs as part of changes at firm Vestas.
The wind turbine technology company recently purchased MHI Vestas Offshore Wind.
It is now in the process of bringing the two firms together - and says redundancies are part of the "ongoing integration".
Earlier this month Vestas announced plans to let go around 220 employees, primarily those who work in Denmark.
A spokesperson for Vestas told Isle of Wight Radio:
"It’s always hard to say goodbye to good colleagues, but unfortunately it has been necessary to let go of around 10 colleagues as part of the ongoing integration of Vestas and MHI Vestas Offshore Wind."
Vestas and the now former MHI Vestas have a number of sites on the Island, including in Newport.
