The Isle of Wight's sporting heroes will be celebrated at a virtual awards ceremony this evening (Thursday).
Everyone is welcome at the 46th IW Sports Achievement Awards, since the new online format means unlimited guests can attend.
Award categories include individuals, teams, schools and volunteers. There are also awards for lifetime achievement and service to sport.
Hosted by Lord Grade of Yarmouth and Lucy Morgan, the ceremony is presented by the Isle of Wight Sports Foundation.
It promotes sport throughout the Isle of Wight and represents and campaigns for all sports and recreation clubs on the Island.
Claire Beasley, chairman of the foundation, said:
“This is an opportunity to recognise the immense sporting talent that exists here on the Island and to thank all those who give so much of their time to the development and management of sport.
“This event recognises outstanding achievement or service amongst sportsmen and women of all ages and showcases our success stories.
“Switching to an online event is a big step for the sports foundation and we hope you can tune in and join us for this celebration of Island sport.”
