Isle Of Wight Teenager Wows The Voice UK Judges With "Wonderful" Performance

An Isle of Wight teenager fought off nerves and anxiety to wow judges on ITV's The Voice UK.

Millie Lake — or Mila — showcased her talents on Saturday's episode of the hit TV show.

She performed Bebe Rexha's You Can't Stop The Girl in front of famous judges Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs, Anne-Marie and will.i.am.

"Right now my heart is pounding and I can't stop fidgeting", Mila told the ITV show before her performance.

"I can't believe that I'm here. It's really surreal."

The 16-year-old, a student at Theatretrain, admitted she is "quite shy in person" and "not very good at making friends".

But when she performs, she said, she feels like she has a voice.

With her mum, dad and brother watching on from the sidelines, Mila took to the stage...

First to press their buttons was Sir Tom Jones, followed by Olly Murs and then Anne-Marie.

The legendary Delilah singer said she sang "wonderfully well" and was impressed by how she handled the long note of the song.

will.i.am, the only judge not to turn, agreed, saying she "nailed" the big note.

Anne-Marie said Mila's voice was "pure" and she could hear the emotion.

Olly Murs said he hopes it gives her the confidence to go even further.

After looking for reassurance from her family, Mila picked Anne-Marie as her coach.

Following her performance, the teenager has received a raft of messages in support from Islanders, including from Theatretrain.

Mils, we are beyond proud of you! What a beautiful performance from a truly beautiful person! Lost for words... just lots and lots of tears... just wow!!!! 💙💙
