An award-winning Isle of Wight café has said it has been left with no choice but to close.
After 20 years serving Islanders, Kevars Cafe in the Country, which is now in St Helens, is shutting up shop later this month.
The owners have cited "irreconcilable differences, forces beyond our control and the landlord choosing a change of direction for the premises".
But there could a glimmer of hope for the business — if a new premises becomes available.
Posting on Facebook, Kevars said:
"It is a very sad situation for us as this was supposed to be our last business before retirement and not where we wanted to be at this point in our lives.
"We will be taking a break to regroup and reassess what to do next as we have not been able to secure suitable premises at such short notice. So who knows where we will go from here?
"We'd like to thank everyone, both staff and customers for their support and loyalty over the years from all our cafes it's been a blast!"
The cafe, which was formerly in Ryde and Ningwood, is due to shut its St Helens premises on November 17.
In 2020, Kevars was awarded Best Breakfast at Isle of Wight Radio's Best in Business Awards.
