The troubled floating bridge will once again be out of service later this week.
The vessel is to be grounded between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Wednesday (3).
An Isle of Wight Council spokesperson said:
"Works undertaken will ensure noise levels are mitigated and will include works to replace the damaged ‘shoe’ on the Cowes prow and replacement of the cheek plates."
A foot passenger launch service will be in operation.
The Cowes to East Cowes route has been out of action five times in a month.
The list of reasons includes planned maintenance to the vessel’s hydraulic pipes, and 'unexpected issues'.
There is also talk that the vessel could be off for six months as part of plans for a long-term fix.
The Isle of Wight Council has submitted a ‘substantial claim’ as part of legal action against the boat's manufacturers.
