Joe Robertson of the Conservative Party has been elected as MP for the new Isle of Wight East constituency.
Mr Robertson achieved 10,427 votes (30.6%) making him the first MP for the newly created East seat.
Joe is a former Ryde School pupil and grew up in St Helens before heading to university in London and practising law in Southampton. He now resides in St Helens with his wife.
During his campaign, he said his key focusses include securing more investment for the Island and getting more money into the pockets of Islanders.
