The 21st Isle of Wight Lambretta Day Anniversary Weekender will take place across the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Weekend at Ryde Pavilion.
Lambretta Day was established in 1999 as meet up to Launch Lambretta Clothing at a local clothes store.
The first event was attended by around 20 scooters riders. It has grown into an Annual event with over 300 plus scooters from local and visiting clubs and solo riders.
After a hugely successful 20th anniversary, this year will see a two-day event with a scooter ride-out and entertainment throughout the day until the night.
This year, as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, people are invited to the green in front of Ryde Pavilion to join in the celebrations.
Ryde Pavilion Café and Bar will be open all weekend and will host live music throughout the day, from noon, followed by more live music and DJs till midnight. There will also be an a Beer Tent and BBQ on both days too.
Sundays Ride-Out will be organised by IOW Scooter Alliance leaving at 1pm at a Newport venue (TBC) meeting at 12pm, riding to Ryde Pavilion to enjoy an afternoon of celebrations.
The 21st Anniversary commissioned Trophies will be presented for:
- Best Overall Scooter Vespa or Lambretta
- Best Turned Out Club Scooter Club
- Best Overall Lambretta Scooter
- Best Vintage Scooter
- Best Individual or Club that has contributed to the IOW scene in the last year
Confirm live acts are Modern Apes, The Dead Perry’s, Three Minute Hero’s, The Apple Beatles, Outta Time, X Directory, The Optimists, plus lots of top rally DJs.
Evening entertainment will continue at Ryde Pavilion in Ryde, Seafront with everyone welcome at £10 entry with a weekend ticket.
