A loud bang heard across the Isle of Wight was reportedly caused by demolition work on the mainland.
At around 10am, residents across the Island, including in Ryde, Newport, East Cowes and Binstead took to social media after hearing a loud boom.
Speculation was rife, with many fearing it could have been an earthquake.
It has since been revealed that the rumble came from demolition work at Fawley Power Station.
