A Level 3 Heat Alert has been issued for the Isle of Wight.
Yesterday (Sunday), the Isle of Wight Met Service recorded temperatures of 34.4.C in Havenstreet, 34 in Elmfield and 32.4.C in Seaview.
Both the Met Office and the IW Met Service have issued warnings as temperatures hit 30.C on the Island today.
The Met Office said:
"Look out for others, especially older people, young children and babies and those with underlying health conditions.
"Close curtains on rooms that face the sun to keep indoor spaces cooler and remember it may be cooler outdoors than indoors.
"Drink plenty of fluids and avoid excess alcohol, dress appropriately for the weather and slow down when it is hot."

A hot and sunny day with almost unbroken sunshine across the island. A little patchy cloud may develop in central and northern parts during the afternoon, also the distant clouds of thunderstorms will likely be visible to the north and northeast, but these will stay a good distance away from the Island.
Temperature 27-29°C with a few places reaching 30-31°C once again in more central, northern and eastern parts, although closer to 22°C on windward coasts
Wind southwest 6-12mph but with onshore sea breezes developing

Another calm, clear night ahead with localised mist and fog patches in rural parts.
