Police say a single vehicle collision close to Newport's LIDL store was caused by a 'loss of friction'.
Officers attended the mini roundabout close to the slipway for Medina Way yesterday evening (Wednesday) following reports that a car had sustained damage.
Other motorists were forced to manoeuvre around the stricken vehicle until a recovery vehicle could attend the scene.
Isle of Wight Police said on Facebook:
"A timely reminder that sometimes the road conditions and weather conditions are also a consideration when choosing how much speed you take into a bend."
No injuries have been reported.
