Organisers of the Isle of Wight Story Festival have announced the line-up for the 2025 edition of the family orientated event, which will return to Newport over the February half term.
Best-selling children's author and Blue Peter award nominee, M.G. Leonard, leads the program of speakers who will appear at the festival from February 20 to 22 at Quay Arts.
M.G. Leonard’s books include Beetle Boy though at the Story Festival, she will speak about the latest in her Time Keys mysteries.

Also on the line-up are former Poet in Residence for the Roald Dahl Museum, Paul Lyalls, and Dorset based Maz Evans, author of Vi Spy and Who Let the Gods Out?
Providing interactive sessions for children, Gareth Peter - who appeared at the 2023 Festival - will read stories from a selection of his books.
Naomi Ishiguro, author of the acclaimed Common Ground and daughter of the Nobel Prize winner, Kazuo Ishiguro, will run a masterclass in the art of starting a story.
Titled “Write Your Own 'Unlikely Friendship' Story,” Naomi’s session is described as a fun and friendly creative writing workshop.
On the first day of the festival, the Isle of Wight’s Pink Cow Theatre will put on a performance of their play, Brutal.
Dr Roopa Farooki, NHS doctor and three time nominee for the Women’s Prize for Fiction, will speak about Dr Roopa's Body Books.
Also appearing are Kathryn Rossati, Sue Bailey and Neal Layton.
Speaking about the announcement, IW Story Festival director, Elspeth Giddens, said:
