The Royal Hotel in Ventnor has announced an innovative new restaurant concept.
Se7en, which features a curated seven-course tasting menu, aims to provide a contemporary dining experience for discerning foodies, with influences ranging from the Far East of the globe to the South Coast of England.
Head Chef Matt Egan, alongside with Sous Chef Jacob Gough, is hoping to make Se7en the newest ‘go to’ foodie experience on the Island.
Matt said:
“This is a (change of direction) for The Royal, and I’m excited about the prospect of people coming to taste food that is enticing, sleek, and vibrant.
"Every aspect of Se7en fulfils my personal philosophy that ‘food has no rules’.”
Chris Prew, Director of The Royal, added:
“The Royal is renowned for its high-quality service and food, with many people coming to us for a fine dining experience in our main Geranium Restaurant.
"However, Se7en allows us to offer something unique and completely new to our dinner guests.
"It’s a privilege to work with Matt and the team, who always (have) great enthusiasm and outstanding passion for their art.”
Se7en will be open to everyone, residents and non-residents, on Friday October 14 and Saturday October 15.
