A main road in and out of Newport is expected to reopen today (Wednesday).
As previously reported by Isle of Wight Radio, Carisbrooke Road was shut on Monday for Southern Water emergency repairs.
The water company has been relaying a pipe and replacing two box chambers.
It is now expected to reopen at 5pm this afternoon.
Carisbrooke Road has been closed for emergency works. As a result, routes 6, 7, 12, 27, 38 and 39 are unable to serve the end of Pyle Street, Carisbrooke Monument (Newport Bound) or Lukley Terrace (Newport bound) stops. The nearest stop will be Newport Bus Station and Cedar Hill
