Isle of Wight police were called last night (Saturday) after a man became aggressive at a Ryde hotel.
Officers were sent to Yelf's Hotel on Union Street, arresting a man on suspicion of racially and religiously aggravated harassment.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:
"We were called at 8.23pm on Saturday 14 May to a report that a man was behaving in an aggressive manner at Yelf's Hotel on Union Street.
"Officers attended and arrested a man on suspicion of racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress.
"He has been released from police custody on conditional police bail while our enquiries continue.
"The conditions are to not return to the hotel."
