A man has been arrested after a woman was allegedly subjected to a serious sexual assault at Thorness Bay.
Police were called to the incident in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).
Officers said that a woman had been in the company of a group of people when she was seriously sexually assaulted by a member of the group, near the beach.
Police told Isle of Wight Radio that a 24-year-old man from Glasgow has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.

"There has been an incident at the park. Our team are assisting the police. We can't comment further."
