A man has been arrested and a knife has been seized in Sandown.
Police were called at 5pm yesterday (Friday) to reports of a public order on Avenue Road, after two people were seen to be arguing in the street.
A woman was reported to have been assaulted, and a man was seen waving a knife, according to police. It was seized by officers.
A 50-year-old man from Sandown was arrested on suspicion of affray, and assaulting a person causing actual bodily harm.
