A man has been arrested in connection with alleged sex offences on the Isle of Wight.
Police say a 65-year-old man from the East Wight has been arrested on suspicion of inciting a boy under 13 to engage in sexual activity and sending communication of an indecent and or offensive nature.
He remains in custody.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:
'We can confirm that police investigating allegations of sex offences on the Isle of Wight have arrested a man.
'A 65-year-old man from the East Wight area has been arrested on suspicion of inciting a boy under 13 to engage in sexual activity and sending communication of an indecent and or offensive nature.
'He remains in custody at this time and our investigation continues.'
