Police arrested a man on suspicion of harassment at a property in Newport this morning (Saturday).
Officers attended a residential address in Hunnyhill after receiving the initial call at 10.39am.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary confirmed:
"We were called out at 10.39am to reports of a disturbance at an address on Hunnyhill in Newport.
"Officers attended the address and engaged with a man inside the property, detaining him a short while later.
"A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of harassment without violence and sending communications of an indecent / offensive nature."
The man remains in custody at this time.
