Man Charged With Isle Of Wight Burglary And Theft Offences

A man has been charged with burglary and theft offences on the Isle of Wight.

Police were called at 5.31am on Saturday (June 24) with reports of a break-in at Ryde Superbowl, where it’s alleged that alcohol was stolen from inside.

Following enquiries, 18-year-old Roobin Jones was arrested and charged with burglary.

Jones, of Daniel Street in Ryde, was also charged with the following offences:

  • Criminal damage to a door at Sands Hotel, Sandown on 23 June.
  • Attempted burglary at Sands Hotel, Sandown on 23 June.
  • Theft of a phone charger from B&M stores in Newport on 7 June.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 26 June).
