A 37 year-old man remains in custody this morning (Monday) following a robbery attempt at a Co-op store in Ryde.
We were called at 9.58am on 19 January to the Co-op in West Street, Ryde.
It was reported that a man had entered the store and threatened staff whilst asking for money from the till.
Staff refused to hand over any money.
The man subsequently left the store and nothing was stolen.
Police attended and arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of robbery - he remains in custody at this time.
