A man has been taken to hospital with stab wounds following an incident in Ryde this afternoon (Tuesday).
Hampshire Constabulary says his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A 30-year-old man, from Southampton, has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody at this time.
Police were called to reports of an assault on Ryde Pier just before 1pm.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has also been in attendance, having landed at Hovertravel earlier.
An area of Ryde seafront was also cordoned off, as Isle of Wight Radio previously reported.
