A man has been removed from the former Ryde Town Hall building this morning (Sunday) following almost five hours at the scene for emergency services.
Police, ambulance and fire crews were first alerted to the situation at the building on Lind Street at around 7am.
A search of the building, utilising the dog unit and a slew of police officers, eventually proved successful, with a man led from the building shortly before midday.
There were reportedly concerns for his welfare.
He was taken away in a police van shortly before 11.45am.
We have asked for further information on the situation from the emergency services.
