A peer-led initiative to support men and raise awareness of men's mental health issues has opened in Ryde.
Based at 134 High Street, "Roger and Steve's Warm Space, Safe Place" aims to support men, whether they need advice or the space to talk.
Brought to fruition by mental health support group "Men Only," a grand launch party last week attracted around 60 guests, including Cllr Michael Lilley, Mental Health Champion for the Isle of Wight.
The evening was hosted by Liz Farrant and Karl Hart, the directors of Men Only IW.
The evening was a huge success and highlighted not just the challenges men have in talking about how they feel and the impact this has on men and their families both on the Island and across the country.
Liz and Karl said:
"We are excitedly looking forward to the next 15 years at Rodger and Steve’s Place.
"We'd love you to come along and join us for tea, and of course biscuits!
"If you would like more information about us and what we do, please head over to our website."
