Michelin Starred Chef Michel Roux Jr To Make Special Appearance At Isle Of Wight Restaurant

Michelin star chef, Michel Roux Jr, will be cooking up a storm at an Isle of Wight restaurant later this month (February)

The world-renowned chef will be creating an entire, bespoke, speciality menu for guests to enjoy at Heron, Ryde on February 24 and 25. Tables on February 23 with Chef Michel have now sold out.

Due to popular demand, however, Chef Alex Kimber will continue to serve the menu exclusively on 24 and 25, extending the opportunity to sample some of the finest gastronomic fare. While Chef Michel will not be in attendance on those days, guests will still get the chance to try the menu designed by the iconic chef himself.

Heron Chef Alex Kimber said:

“It is an excellent opportunity to have Chef Michel Roux Jr and his team visit us here at Heron, and the Isle of Wight where we can showcase all that Ryde and the Isle of Wight have to offer.  

"Chef Michel Roux Jr has been leading the culinary scene in the UK for many years and I have always looked upon the Roux’s as leaders in the culinary world. I personally have been greatly influenced by his passion, style of cuisine, and service."

Alex continued:

"In January, our head waitress, Lucy (pictured above), had the honour of being invited on a learning programme at the two Michelin-starred Le Gavroche to work under the wings of the Roux family, where she has learned from a team who are internationally recognised for their culinary excellence and unparalleled attention to detail.

"The team here at the Heron is so proud and excited to be part of such an exciting event.”
