Theft and vandalism have continued at sporting facilities on the Isle of Wight, as a further two sets of premises belonging to football clubs or training centres suffer break-ins.
On Sunday, James Sheath of Wroxall Football Club reported finding debris left behind by burglars who'd taken a large amount of tools including a chainsaw, a strimmer and a leafblower.
They had also stolen footballing equipment, and some cash, among other items, from the premises north of Ventnor.
Police said the break-in took place at some point between May 28th and 30th, and added investigations were continuing.
Reports are welcomed by calling 101, quoting reference 44210211325.
But a further incident of vandalism has been reported at another location — the premises used by the Football Development Centre at Rookley.
Early on Sunday morning, a leading member reported that pitch marking equipment had been destroyed, and the remains scattered around the playing field.
A volunteer said:
"All the time we, as volunteers, put into trying to do things for the kids, and people just think they can do what they want to equipment that does not belong to them.
"So now we have to replace all the equipment."
