A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a crash on the outskirts of Ryde this afternoon (Wednesday).
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed:
"We were called at 3.28pm to a collision on Ashey Road.
"This involved a motorbike and a van.
"The motorcyclist has suffered a serious injury and has been taken to hospital."
