New Youth Performing Arts Group To Open At Carisbrooke Castle

A new performing arts group for young people is aiming to foster diversity and inclusion when it opens at Carisbrooke Castle later this month.

Tide Nor Time Players CIC, in collaboration with Carisbrooke Castle Museum and with funding support from the Isle of Wight Council's Early Help Grant, said its designed for young people aged 13 to 19 and aims to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive performing arts community led by the young people themselves.

The new group will provide an empowering platform where young people can take charge: from selecting performances to overseeing staging, direction, and budgeting. With professional mentoring and full supervision, participants will gain valuable experience and skills in all aspects of performing arts production.

The group will be a safe space for young individuals of all experience levels to explore their creativity and build confidence through the performing arts.

To introduce this initiative, an open night is being hosted where potential members and their parents are invited to join in. This event will feature a detailed presentation about the group, followed by a Q&A session.
