Newport and Carisbrooke Community Council is inviting residents to help shape the future of their community by participating in a survey that will inform the new strategic plan and upcoming budget.
The survey, which runs for five weeks from today (Tuesday 26 November) to Tuesday December 31, is available online.
The survey aims to gather as many responses as possible to understand residents priorities and aspirations for Newport and Carisbrooke.
It covers topics such as public spaces, transport, community events, facilities for young people, heritage and culture, and support for the elderly and vulnerable.
Residents will also have the opportunity to share their views on funding priorities and potential adjustments to the council tax precept.
Cllr Deborah Matthews, Chair of the Assets & Facilities Committee, said:
"We want to ensure that the voices of our community are at the heart of everything we do.
"This survey gives residents a real opportunity to influence the future of Newport and Carisbrooke.
"Whether it’s preserving green spaces, supporting vulnerable residents, or improving local facilities, your feedback will help shape our strategic plan and guide how we allocate resources."
The Community Council is encouraging everyone to take part, whether online or through a paper copy, to ensure the survey reflects a wide range of views.
While they primarily want to hear from local residents who pay the local precept, the survey is open to anyone.
For more information or to request a paper copy of the survey, please contact Newport and Carisbrooke Community Council at 559119.
