The eagerly-awaited Wessex League clash between Isle of Wight rivals, East Cowes Vics and Newport, takes place tomorrow (Monday).
Although it is Newport’s home game, the showdown has been switched to Vics’ Beatrice Avenue pitch to enable a 2pm kick off, partially under floodlights.
Newport will be looking for maximum points to keep up their charge towards a play-off place in the Wessex League, Division One, while Vics will be hoping for a victory to move further away from the relegation danger area.
Vics' manager, Richie Woodburn, said:
“It was agreed we should host the game, even though Newport should be the hosts. But because we are now at home we shall make sure we use our home dressing room!”
Note: The game was due to kick off at 3pm, but has now been moved to 2pm.
