A stunning Christmas lights display at a Newport home has raised thousands of pounds for charity.
Matthew Whitam covered his home in Goldcrest Close with thousands of bright lights, in a bid to raise money for Island causes.

The incredible display - which takes months to put together - included reindeer, snowmen, Christmas trees, Christmas puddings, shooting stars and snowflakes.
Now, Matthew has handed over two cheques - for £1,541.50 - to the Samaritans and Suicide Prevention and Intervention Isle of Wight.

Matthew said:
"We raised an amazing £3,083 overall, and have split that with both of our charities.
"We had an extremely busy month (December) and we’d like to thank everyone who visited and donated.
"We will be back to do it all again in December!"
