A one-year-child is in a serious, but stable condition in hospital following an incident in Shanklin yesterday (Bank Holiday Monday)
Hampshire Constabulary officers were called to Lower Hyde Holiday Park shortly before 10.30am.
Police received a concern for welfare report about a baby, the force has said.
A spokesperson said:
"The child was taken to Southampton General Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish what happened."
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) were also called to the incident.
A spokesperson said:
"We dispatched our helicopter crew at 10:24 from our airbase in Thruxton.
"The patient was attended by two of our specialist paramedics and one of our doctors. After treating the patient at scene, we then transferred by air to University Hospital Southampton."
