There's pawsome news for a family on the Isle of Wight, who have been reunited with their cat 13 years after he went missing.
16-year-old Jess was taken in by the Isle of Wight Cats Protection Adoption Centre, in Ryde, yesterday (Monday).
Luckily, the feline had a chip which allowed staff to trace his owners.
It turns out they hadn't seen him in over a decade. Posting on Facebook, the cats protection centre said:
"Did the cat have a microchip? Oh yes, and the details were up to date even though the owners had moved since the cat went missing. That was one phone call the owners weren't expecting.
"Wow, the power of the microchip. If only Jess could tell us about his adventures, think he'll be grounded for a while now."
The centre's urging Isle of Wight cat owners to get their felines chipped.
