Photos show the extent of a 'large' barn fire in Ashey yesterday (Bank Holiday Monday).
Crews, from Ryde, spent the night monitoring the barn and the blaze. Smoke continues to seen in the skies around Ryde this morning (Tuesday).
At least 40 firefighters from across the Island were called to Ashey Road, having been alerted just before midday yesterday.
Back-up was also requested from the mainland as cover, as Isle of Wight Rdaio previously reported.

Road closures were in place at Nunwell, East Ashey and Smallbrook for several hours.
Images posted online show smoke billowing in the skies around the area.

Around eight appliances from Newport, Cowes, East Cowes, Ryde, Sandown, Ventnor and Freshwater fire stations were called to tackle the flames.

Crews used specialist equipment to dismantle hay stacks and put out the blaze.

Firefighters remained at the scene as of 3am this morning (Tuesday).
No one was hurt in the blaze and police say the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
