A new Platform One initiative aims to provide a supportive environment for young people through music.
The Breakfast Club, aimed at young people aged 11 to 25, was conceived by Platform One student Kaira Langan, as part of her Level 7 Masters programme - MA Music Industry Innovation & Enterprise.
Also on the team is Jenn Langan of Isle Coach, a mental health professional who offers counselling and wellbeing coaching.
The concept of The Breakfast Club is to provide an inclusive and supportive environment for young people to explore positive mental health outcomes, with sessions designed to aid individuals using music as the creative force.
The next session, which is free and open to all, will be at Strings Music Venue in Newport on Monday December 20.
Doors open at 10.30am, with special guest Dr Fiona Kennedy of Greenwood Mentors running a one-hour workshop entitled Assertiveness: getting what you need whilst keeping your relationships and self-esteem.
The session will include instruction, demos, and roleplays to create a workshop with a small group.
