EXCLUSIVE PICTURES: Police were called to Shanklin last night (Sunday) after a man was allegedly verbally abusive to a shop staff member.
Officers were called to reports of a public order incident the Co-op on Regent Street at around 5.15pm.
A police spokesperson told Isle of Wight Radio:
"A 40-year-old man had become verbally aggressive towards a member of staff.
"Both parties were spoken to and it was agreed the incident would be dealt with by way of a community resolution."
