Emergency teams - including the police helicopter and coastguards - were all involved in a search for a missing person on the Isle of Wight last night (Wednesday).
HM Coastguard sent rescue teams from Ventnor and Bembridge, along with Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat, to help police locate a missing man.
The National Police Air Support (NPAS) helicopter from Bournemouth was also drafted in to help with the search, in the Niton area of the Island.
HM Coastguard has confirmed that the person was rescued from Binnel Point.
The lifeboat was tasked after police officers, the casualty and coastguards were in danger of being cut off by the tide.
The first call came in just before 10.15pm last night.
