A teenager had a tooth knocked out after being assaulted in East Cowes.
Police were called following reports of an assault in Yarborough Road, where a 19-year-old man said he was assaulted by a youth.
Police said the teen claimed to have a knife, before hitting the man in the face, knocking out a tooth.
The National Police Air Support (NPAS) helicopter helped in a search for the suspect in the early hours of Saturday morning (17).
Two boys aged 17 and 16 have since been arrested on suspicion assault and are being questioned about the incident.
It happened in the grounds of the church, near the junction with Adelaide Grove.
