A popular children's fun club on the Isle of Wight has taken the difficult decision to close.
After 27 years serving the Island, Scallywags Fun Club has announced it is shutting.
The club - based at Broadlea Primary School in Lake - said everyone associated with the club is 'devastated', as the school is no longer able to host it.
It is due to close at the end of this month (March).
A post on Facebook reads:
"Dearest valued, families, friends and children of Scallywags Fun Club,
"(Please note we are devastated to have to write this)
"It is with the saddest of hearts, after 27 years, Scallywags Fun Club will no longer be opening at Broadlea Primary School.
"Due to being unexpectedly informed of changes happening at Broadlea Primary School our after school facility is no longer able to open & holiday club has been forced to shut.
"As from Friday 31st March Scallywags Fun Club will sadly close its doors for the final time at Broadlea Primary School site.
"We would like to thank all the wonderful children, families, professionals and staff that have passed through our doors and made Scallywags Fun Club the most AMAZING out of school club for 27 years.
"Scallywags Fun Club has cared for so many children attending Broadlea Primary School and many children in the surrounding community on the Island.
"They will ALL be remembered and missed.
"Any possibility of locating a new premises would mean a new start at a new site
"Thank you for all your support
"From Sarah and the wonderful Scallywags Fun Club Team Scallywags Fun Club"
