As previously reported, in December, Sienna Anderson's photo of a Mermaid Gin bottle was nominated in the Commercial: Product category at the 2021 British Photography Awards 2021 It was one of 380 chosen.
Bembridge-based Sienna announced that she won the accolade on Facebook tonight (Wednesday).
Sienna's winning picture was of the Island's very own Mermaid Gin (pictured below).
The picture is supporting marine conservation charity Surfers Against Sewage.
It was taken inside a fish tank and a diver's oxygen tank, fixed with fine rubber tubing, was used to create the effect of bubbles coming out of the bottle.
Sienna says she chose Mermaid Gin, which is produced at the Isle of Wight Distillery in Ryde, because of its environmentally-friendly ethos.
Announcing the award on Facebook, Sienna said:
'Oh my days... I won people’s choice in the 2021 British Photography Awards...Thank you so much to everyone who supported me.'
