A married couple will be visiting the Isle of Wight as part of a fundraising challenge to stop at all 238 Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) sites in the UK and Ireland over the course of a month.
Londoners James and Belinda Richardson began driving around the coast in a Porsche 911 on Friday August 23, with their first stop taking place that day in Morecambe.
They will touch down at the Isle of Wight's three RNLI stations in Cowes, Bembridge and Yarmouth next Tuesday (September 17).
The pair are travelling 8,500 miles and looking to raise big bucks during the process.
Jayne George, RNLI Director of Fundraising, said:
"We are so grateful to James and Belinda for taking on this huge challenge and look forward to welcoming them at all of our lifeboat stations around the coast.
"We are only able to save lives at sea thanks to the generous support of people taking on challenges like this, and we’re honoured Belinda and James have decided to raise even more money to fund a new D class inshore lifeboat.
"In 2023 alone, D class lifeboats saved 96 lives and helped 2,028 people in difficulty."
