Positive Coronavirus Tests Confirmed At Arreton Primary School

Two positive coronavirus cases have been identified at Arreton St George's CE Primary School.

In a letter to parents, the school said one case has been identified in Year 2 and another in Year 5.

The school letter, from headteacher, Maria Herbert, said:

"We know that you may find this concerning, but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England...

"The small number of children who have been in contact with the individuals who have tested positive for coronavirus have received a letter informing them that their child must stay at home for 10 days."

It follows a confirmed case of coronavirus being identified in November, as previously reported by Isle of Wight Radio.

The Isle of Wight Council has been approached for a comment.
