Praise Be! Niton Yoga Studio Opens Doors At Former Isle Of Wight Church Site

A highly anticipated new yoga studio will open its doors in Niton this evening (Monday).

St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, on Rectory Road has been empty for nearly 15 years after it stopped being used for mass or prayer meetings.

Now, after being on the market since September 2015, the building has finally been returned to community use, primarily as a yoga studio but also available to rent for events.

The plans were initially put forward by local instructor, Emma McGillivray, of Ems Yoga.

Emma is now offering a variety of regular classes at the Chapel Studio.

She said:

"Bringing life back to this village asset has been the talk of the local community for the last few months, and everyone seems very pleased with the improved street scene.

"I have always thrived to make yoga accessible to everyone.

"Yoga is not determined by age, body shape or ability, anyone can enjoy the benefits".

All classes and information can be found on Emma's website.
